ELA/ELD Standards

Key Features of the new ELD Standards:
- They are aligned with California's Common Core State Standards.
- They highlight and amplify key language knowledge, skills, and abilities critical for ELLs to succeed in school while they are developing English.
- They provide opportunities for ELLs to access, engage with, and achieve in grade-level academic content while they are learning English.
New English Language Proficiency Assessment
English Language Learners in California will be transitioning to a new assessment of English Language Proficiency called the ELPAC (English Language Proficiency Assessment for California).
